Gila Woodpecker Original

Gila Woodpeckers are found in desert areas of California, Nevada, Arizona, and New Mexico. It has black and white stripes on its back and wings, and a red cap on the male's head. It makes its nest in holes of saguaro cactus and mesquite tree, which also provide food for it. The bird is endangered in California, but not in Arizona.
