Asian Elephant
Asian Elephant
Low stock: 5 left
Asian Elephants, venerated for cultural and religious purposes, inhabit wet forests, grasslands, and areas proximate to water sources across the Indian subcontinent and Southeast Asia. They congregate in groups of six to seven related females, headed by the oldest of them, the matriarch, while adult males wander separately. On an average day, they consume a wide array of grasses, tree bark, roots, leaves, and stems, in addition to seeking water. Their advanced neocortex enables them to engage in complex activities like forming relationships, problem-solving, tool-utilization, language, and long-term memory.
